I've upgraded to beta version 8.10 of ubuntu. My device connects using
synce-hal with no problem. But, I cannot browse it via nautilus. When I
try to go to "synce://" I get

Error: DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.InvalidArgs: Argument 5 is
specified to be of type "s", but is actually of type "b"
Ubuntu is using version 1.0.1 of gvfs.

Any ideas on the fix?

The internal interfaces of gvfs have changed since the release of
synce-gvfs. I will be fixing this, but not immediately, probably when
8.10 is released. Does anyone know if any other distros are actively
using gvfs ?

It may actually just work if built from source, check out the README if
you fancy trying this.

I already have this fixed in Mandriva.

Take hints from the spec file and sources:
