Dear all,
SynCE version 0.10 will be released soon. The word SynCE release is
actually an umbrella term for the release of these parts of the project:
* odccm
* libsynce
* librapi2
* librra
* usb-rndis
* vdccm
* serial
* gnomevfs
* librtfcomp
* pywbxml
* sync-engine
This is a more pre1.0 release, as things are really getting usable! It
didn't help with the release of everything changing in WM5!
So I'm making this public to:
a. let people know.
b. so people have a chance to say something that might affect it, for
example, if you're doing something at the moment that shouldn't really
be released.
c. if I've missed something off, or am doing something wrong!
At the moment I think I will wait for Ole Andre to do his WM6 trickery
on odccm. If there's anything else that you think I might want to know
about, then throw me an email!
John- what version shall I name librtfcomp? As it's rather
non-SynCE-specific I was thinking something like 1.1, but 1.02 (as
specified in configure.in) would be fine too.
Another announcement for the future that I will make clear later, and
before it happens: there will be a repository re-arrangement. This
basically means that your working copies may screw around with things
moving in svn. But this is in advance- just look out for another
announcement in the future!
Regards,
