I was too fast. The IP-porblems still pops up, but pls still works. Also
the pda stills says it's connected.
strange...
Post by Achim ZirnerHi,
just finshed setting up a clean partnership on setting up clean
opensync-config.
Also decided to use a virgin calandr to avoid strange past events which
were probably causing problems in the past.

After syncing a couple of times, it worked ;-)
Only had a handfull of events going from evolution to the pda. But that
looks fine. Strangely, some of the contacts don't get transfered. If I
edit the contact in evolution (even if nothing is changed: insert a
charckter, delete the chrarckter) and save it, the contact gets
transfered.
Any Ideas?
At the moment, it seems that the IP-adress-issue is gone.
Keep you updated!

Post by Mark EllisPost by Achim ZirnerHi all,
I'm currently trying to restore my sycing-system after I shot it due to
an update...
I am encountring the following popup on my pda after beeing connected
"Vom Server zugewiesene IP-Adresse kann nicht abgerufen werden.
Versuchen Sie es später erneut, oder geben Sie in den
Netzwerkeinstellung eine IP-Adresse ein"
"The IP provided by the server cannot be reached. Try again later or set
an IP-Address in the Network settings"
The label of the popup is "Windows CE-Network"
Do you mean you have a successful connection (pls works), which then
gets dropped ?
forgot to check this. Will do if it happens again.
Post by Mark EllisPost by Achim ZirnerI m not aware that I changed anything with the network setting since I
had it running, but I might be wrong.
Do you have networkmanager running ? Does something cause it to change
the network setup ?
got the network mananger running, but I'm not changing anything.
Post by Mark EllisPost by Achim ZirnerI thought that this might be a RAPI-Issue. I upgraded to all the current
SVN Versions. I build the packages for python-rapi2, python-rra,
python-rtfcomp myself, due to depencies issues with Python < 2.6. (Mark,
any chance of getting rid of this, might be help full for other
Ubuntu-Users.)
Nothing I can do, its the way python packages are built. You can rebuild
the packages on your system andthey will use the locally available
version.
Too bad, I think I'll take your advice from a couple of days ago an put
them in the wiki.
