New release of trayicon? and some patches

Hi all,

Mark, I noticed you've committed some changes to synce-trayicon that
allow building without hal support, which is something I've been looking
for - could we possibly get an official release of that?

I also have some patches from openSUSE guys for:
usb-rndis-lite with the samsung and mtu patches, making it build
for kernel > 2.6.32
FUR making it respect destdir
unshield for some m4 hackery I don't quite understand apparently
fixing zlib detection

Are these things that sound useful? Any objections to me committing them?

Also I notice that kde3-kcemirror, kde4-kcemirror, unshield and dynamite
have unreleased changes in svn. When you get time / next release cycle,
could you arrange a release for them (and possibly things I commit
above) as well?

Thanks,
Tejas

How desperate are you ? I was planning to release it in a big 'get rid
of hal' thing, along with synce-core, which will need a re-release of
almost everything, but it won't be ready for a little while.

I have no intention of doing anything with usb-rndis-lite personally. If
you want to commit anything, please do so, and I'll even release it if
you want, but in my mind it is defunct and any patches should go in the
kernel.

FUR making it respect destdir
Cool.

Cool to, I don't ever really look at this, so any help appreciated.

Yeah, most are quite minor things, but I think when I do the next big
one I'll re-release almost everything.

No worries, I'll just backport the interesting bits for now then.

I haven't heard of anyone having trouble with the in-kernel module for a
while either. I'll leave this for now.

Sounds like a plan.
I also wanted to ask about renaming the kde-prefixed components. I'll
raise that in another thread.
