Hi there,
I am the 'synce-packager' for the fedora distro. I am in the process of
updating the synce packages in fedora from 0.15 to 0.15.1.
Hi Andreas

Copied this to synce-devel, might be useful for others.
I also want to clean up a bit in time for the fedora 15 release and
Currently we keep synce-serial, vdccm, odccm and synce-hal in the repos.
Now with synce-connector being ready I would hope to get rid of all
these once an for all. However I am not quite sure if I can think about
all use cases. It would be appreciated if you could let you know your
stand on this...
vdccm is dead, and with it the old synce-kde package, get rid of them.

odccm and synce-serial are definitely obsolete, I'd recommend dumping
them too.

synce-hal is specifically replaced by connector. As long as we don't get
any major bug reports in the next few weeks, it will completely obsolete
synce-hal.

There are a couple of things I want to add into connector quite soon,
nothing major but just nice, so keep watching :) For instance, bluetooth
doesn't work yet, but then it's never worked that well in any of them.

Mark
