There is no such thing as synce version 16. What exactly are you trying
to build ? Are there no packages you can use ? What do you mean it
barely talks to it, and only shows the battery level ?

I will address the first two issues directly, and ask some further advice. If
I have gone down the primrose path on those issues, the rest may be moot.
Which desktop do you use, KDE, Gnome, etc.? What apps would you recommend for
an HP iPAQ running Windows CE 4.21?
